1970 - Graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta
1970 - Joined Manulife Financial and over the next 24 years worked in the product distribution areas of the Canadian, International and U.S. Divisions. Left Manulife Financial in 1994 as AVP Manulife Financial Partners in the U.S. Division
1994 - Joined with Ralph Hunter to form Hunter-Gray Financial Services Inc. in Streetsville
2005 – Became a Charter Member of Elder Planning Counselor Program with an EPC designation
Bill is an Executive Council member of Manulife Financial and has been a speaker at Manulife Securities Investment Services Inc. (formerly Manulife Securities International Ltd.) Advisor's Forum. He is a member of the Canadian Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, and continues his education to stay on the cutting edge of new developments in the investment and insurance industries.
Bill has been active within the community as a manager/coach for T-Ball, Little League Ball and Hockey in Erin Mills and Streetsville as his children were growing up. He has been a member of the Rotary Club in Streetsville since 1995 and during that time has been a Director, Treasurer and served as President. In 2000 Bill was awarded a Paul Harris Fellow by Rotary International, and in 2011 was awarded a second Paul Harris Fellow for his commitment to community service.
Bill and Ethyle were married in 1965 and have 4 children and 3 grandchildren. As empty nesters they both enjoy traveling, reading and bicycling.
